3-Day National Convention of VANAVASI KALYAN ASHRAM held at Hyderabad

Hyderabad September 21: 3-day National Convention of Vanavasi Kalyan Ashram, an RSS inspired forum for tribal welfare,was held at Hyderabad was concluded on Sunday, September 21, 2014.

Press Release by Vanavasi Kalyan:

At the National level meeting of Vanavasi all members meet organized at Rashtriya vidyakendra at Annojiguda near Ghatakesar there were discussions related to Tribals  living in forests  .In three days meet ,about 700 workers belonging to different regions of the country  participated.The discussions are centered around living conditions of the tribels and ways and means to change their living conditions.

The President Sri Jagevrao Urav , the vice presidents Sri Krishnaprasad singh, Jaleswar Brahma,All India Organising secretary Sri somayajululu were present during  start up program of the meet.

At the meet Sri K Ramachandrayya explained that at Andhrapradesh alone about 80 lakhs of tribals are living,the activities of vanavasi kalyanashram enabled 300 tribals living in srisailam forest to become teachers and  40 tribals from paderu region joined in police department.

Amicable solution is needed for the affected tribals of polavaram project,To provide benefit of 7 districts lakhs of acres of lands of tribals will be flooded .Al Tribal villages in catchment area  need to be relocated to different places.Vanavasi kalyanashram stressed on the need of prioritizing the plan of replacement to be implemented before start of the project.The affected tribals of polavaram catchment area need to be identified immediately and repective compensation to be provided first before any step is taken to start the project.

On 21st September,End program is planned of the all India meet.
