Sullia, May 25, 2015: First one in Coastal Mangaluru Area and 6th in the state, a new hostel exclusively for Vanavasi students was inaugurated on Monday May 25, 2015.
Kajampady Subramanya Bhat, RSS leader and Akhil Bharatiya Samyojak of Parivar Prabodhan to inaugurated new hostel, which will be exclusively dedicated for the educational purpose of the Vanavasi Students.
The new hostel is located in Adkar, near Sullia on Mangaluru – Mysuru Highway.
The new hostel building along with the land for it was dedicated and handed over to Vanavasi Kalyan Ashrama by Lalita-Ganapati Memorial Trust. The trust is headed by Bengaluru based Company Secretary Ramesh Bhat, who hails from Narampady of Kasaragod district. Ramesh Bhat and family members; handed over the hostel building for the social cause through Vanavasi Kalyan Ashrama.
“In Karnataka, Vanavasi Kalyan Ashram has activities in 10 districts and 21 taluks. This is the 6th hostel exclusively for Vanavasi students in Karnataka and first in Coastal Karnataka. We appeal the citizens to join their hands for the welfare of Vanavasi Bandhu’s, especially through their education and health” said Krishnamurthy, State organising secretary of Vanavasi Kalyan Ashrama.
Vanavasi Kalyan Ashrama’s Venkatesh Sagar, Kanakkodu Subramanya Bhat (From the trust), Kajampady Subramanya Bhat,. Krishnamurthy of VKA, Local Businessman Upendra Kamath, Monappa Manadu, once a Vanavasi Bandhu and now a prominent social leader were present on the dais.
RSS Pracharak Prakash Kamath, Sridhar Saagar, Da Ma Ravindra, Sripada, KS Nagabhushan, RSS leaders Gopal Chettiyar, Na Seetharam, Rajesh Padmar of VSK-Karnataka, Satyakeerthi, Radhakrishna of VKA, Local MLA Angara, family members of Ramesh Bhat were present for the ceremony.
