New Delhi Sept 10: RSS top leader Ram Madhav on Tuesady blamed the ruling Samajwadi Party for the recent communal violence in Muzaffarnagar of Uttara Pradesh.
“Muzaffarnagar violence is very unfortunate and we sincerely hope that peace will be restored there soon. I would blame Samajwadi Party government in Uttar Pradesh for letting communal tension rise there. If you look at this incident, it has been clear that the terrorist elements of minority sections are responsible for it,” Ram Madhav said.
“Instead of containing them today, they have put false accusations on RSS group. It suits them politically. The most important role in spreading communal disturbance in Uttar Pradesh is of Akhilesh Yadav’s government and his political members. I would like to say that Samajwadi Party is trying to create communal problems there,” said Ram Madhav.
Ram Madhav called the order to ban Parikrama in Ayodhya “the violation of religious rights of Hindus” and said the state government had the “ideology of obtaining vote banks“.
Meanwhile Ram Madhav also hinted the RSS’s decision on BJP’s prime ministerial candidate for 2014 Lok Sabha polls.
RSS Senior Functionary Ram Madhav said the RSS has conveyed the BJP its choice and that the party now has to implement it. On being asked if he was referring to Modi, he said, “The whole world knows who we are referring to.”
Ram Madhav also made it clear that the BJP has got no choice in the matter as he adds, “RSS’s job is not to convince the BJP but to convey the nation’s mood to the party.”
“We conveyed the public sentiment that is prevailing within the people of the nation. There is an urge of distinct change in the political situation. Everyone knows what kind of special change is needed. It is also clear that who has got the people’s approval,” he said.
“It is not a question of convincing. We have made efforts to convey this message. The decision will be taken up by the members of the party altogether,” he added.
